Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Graphic Designer & Digital Content Coordinator will lead the visual design and creative production for CCAI and The Park's digital and print communications. This role is primarily responsible for designing graphics, layouts, and visual content that bring our mission and programs to life — from social media graphics and dynamic video reels to email campaigns, printed materials, and our annual magazine, all built in InDesign. The ideal candidate is a skilled graphic designer and visual storyteller, with the added ability to coordinate digital content across platforms.

Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Layout (primary focus): Design original graphics, layouts, and visual assets across digital and print — social media graphics, email templates, one-pagers, newsletters, program materials, and event collateral — using Adobe Creative Suite, with heavy use of InDesign for layout work.
Annual Magazine Support: Support the design and layout of our annual magazine, working alongside the Communications Manager from concept through final print-ready files.
Video & Reels Production: Edit and produce short-form video content, including Instagram/TikTok-style reels, using tools such as CapCut or Adobe Premiere, translating program updates and community stories into dynamic video storytelling.
Brand Consistency: Maintain and evolve visual brand standards across CCAI and The Park, ensuring all materials — static and video — are consistent in look, feel, and quality.
Content Production: Produce and edit visual content in coordination with the Communications Manager, translating written content and program updates into polished visual pieces.
Digital Content Coordination: Plan, schedule, and distribute visual content across social media, website, and email platforms, working within the broader content calendar.
Performance Analysis: Monitor engagement on visual and video content to inform future design decisions.
Trend Monitoring: Stay current on design and video trends relevant to nonprofit and mission-driven communications.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field (or equivalent portfolio-demonstrated experience).
2+ years of professional graphic design experience required.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with demonstrated InDesign skill required; Photoshop and Illustrator proficiency expected.
Experience with long-form print layout (magazines, publications, or similar multi-page projects) preferred.
Experience editing short-form video content (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar) required.
A design portfolio is required for consideration — please include layout/print examples and video/reel samples if available, not just social graphics.
Personal connection to and familiarity with the diversity of conversations, identities, stories, and needs of the adoption community.
Strong eye for visual storytelling, brand consistency, and audience-appropriate design across static and motion content.
Basic project management and organizational skills for coordinating content calendars.
A passion for visual storytelling and supporting adoptees and adoptive families.

Nice to Have

Experience with WordPress and Elementor (a plus, not required).
