Full Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Product Development & Production Associate to help drive our product launches from concept through delivery.

This role sits at the center of Merchandising, Design, and Production, ensuring that new product launches and stock programs stay on track, are clearly communicated to vendors, and move forward without delays.

This person will serve as the day-to-day driver of product development and production, owning timelines, managing deliverables, and acting as a key point of contact for vendor communication throughout the process. They will ensure that all artwork and specifications are clearly translated and accurately communicated to vendors, keeping development on track while maintaining accurate, up-to-date internal documentation and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development & Product Launch Execution

Drive day-to-day execution of product development for new launches and stock programs from concept through delivery.
Manage the product launch calendar, ensuring all milestones and deliverables stay on track.
Partner with Design and Production to finalize specs, materials, and construction before issuing to vendors.
Issue and manage POs, development requests, and timelines with accuracy.
Maintain development trackers (samples, approvals, pricing, next steps) and proactively follow up to keep things moving.
Support stock production workflows, including PO tracking and timeline management through to delivery.

Vendor Communication & Management

Own all vendor-facing development communication, including timelines, artwork/ specs, and POs.
Ensure all assets are clear, accurate, and vendor-ready before release.
Track vendor progress, confirm timelines, and follow up regularly on outstanding items.
Consolidate vendor feedback and share internally to maintain alignment on next steps.
Partner with vendors

Cross-Functional Coordination

Act as the “calendar owner” for new product launches - ensuring teams are tracking toward key milestones.
Keep Design, Merchandising and Production aligned on priorities and deadlines.
Prepare materials for development meetings (product status updates, sample reviews, launch readiness).
Flag risks early (delays, missing inputs, vendor issues) and escalate as needed.

Product Setup & Merchandising Support

Own SKU creation and product setup across systems.
Maintain product attributes, pricing, and assortment tracking tools in partnership with Merchandising.
Ensure all product information is accurate, consistent, and up to date across systems and tools.
Support design with assortment reviews and internal presentations as needed.

Sample Management

Organize and maintain inventory of new product development samples and master samples.
Support the ongoing management of master sample inventory with mills, ensuring samples are in good condition, accurately labeled, tracked, and maintained across inventory systems.
Ensure all samples are accurately labeled, logged, and aligned with current specifications.
Partner with vendors and internal teams to maintain visibility into sample status and next steps.
Support QC checks by reviewing development and stock samples against approved specs and master samples.

Qualifications:

Experience

3 - 5 years of experience in Product Development or Production
Experience working with overseas vendors and managing development timelines
Familiarity with product specifications, artwork, and development workflows
Experience in textiles, home, fashion, or a related category preferred

Skill Set

Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Initiative and ability to prioritize tasks independently.
Strong communicator, able to translate clearly across design, merchandising, production, and vendors
Proactive and accountable, with consistent follow-through
Effective multitasker across multiple timelines and priorities
Comfortable working with overseas vendors

Pay: $31.25 - $40.87 per hour
