Duties
- Install and de-install art exhibition; pack and ship artwork; catalog artwork
- Assist with the care, cataloging, and documentation of art
- Support educational programs
- Help coordinate exhibition setup and takedown, including object care and installation logistics
- Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries in person or via phone/email with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Welcome visitors, provide information about current exhibitions, and ensure a positive experience for all guests
- Support team management tasks such as scheduling staff or volunteers for gallery events and programs
Qualifications
- BFA is a minimum requirement. MFA degree is an asset
- A Graphic Design, Photography, Digital Media, and/or Marketing skill set is an asset
- Proven experience working in museums, galleries, or nonprofit arts organizations with knowledge of collection management practices
- Excellent communication skills and writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with social media management tools for content creation and outreach campaigns
- Ability to handle object care responsibly while maintaining attention to detail in cataloging and preservation tasks
- Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
