Job Summary
Job Title: CNC Lathe Operator – Evening Shift

Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to support our evening shift operations. This role is responsible for safely operating CNC lathe machines, performing tool changes and adjustments, inspecting parts using precision measuring equipment, and ensuring production meets quality and efficiency standards.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of hands-on CNC lathe experience, is comfortable working independently, and demonstrates strong attention to detail.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathe machines in accordance with work instructions and engineering drawings
Adjust live tooling and perform basic tooling changes without supervision
Load and unload parts, monitor machine cycles, and make minor offsets as needed
Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.) to verify part dimensions
Perform in-process inspections and document results per quality requirements
Identify and report machine issues, tooling wear, or quality concerns to supervision
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
Meet established productivity and quality standards for the evening shift

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of CNC lathe operating experience in a manufacturing environment
Proven experience using gauges and precision measuring devices
Ability to adjust live tooling and change basic tooling independently
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and basic GD&T
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
Ability to work in a machine shop environment (noise, oil, metal chips, etc.)

Pay: $23.90 - $26.87 per hour
