Swim Instructor / Swim Coach — WE PAY MORE — $20–$32/hr — West Los Angeles / Cheviot Hills KSWIM is hiring part-time swim instructors and coaches for our West Los Angeles / Cheviot Hills program. We are looking for reliable, energetic people who are strong in the water, enjoy working with children, and want a flexible part-time position with excellent earning potential and opportunities to develop professionally. This is a great fit for current or former competitive swimmers, water polo players, lifeguards, surf instructors, swim instructors, coaches, teachers, and college students with a strong aquatic background. PAY: $20–$32 PER HOUR Starting rate is based on experience, qualifications, certifications, availability, and role. There is a clear path to higher hourly rates as instructors gain experience and complete relevant certifications, including lifeguarding and other KSWIM safety/coaching credentials. New hires who successfully complete their first 90 days may also qualify for a $100 retention bonus. We are especially interested in candidates with backgrounds in: Competitive swimming Water polo Lifeguarding Surf instruction Swim teaching or coaching Teaching or working with children If you are strong in the water, reliable, good with children, and willing to learn, we want to hear from you. KSWIM can train strong aquatic candidates in our teaching system and assist staff in completing applicable certifications. Candidates must: Be reliable and responsible Communicate effectively and work well as part of a team Be comfortable working with children Be legally authorized to work in the United States Complete required background checks and certifications AVAILABILITY Most opportunities are weekday afternoons and early evenings, with additional weekend shifts available. You do not need to be available every day. We are looking for strong candidates who can reliably commit to consistent weekly shifts. A successful applicant must have enthusiasm for the sport.Applicant should hold valid Lifeguard/CPR certification; prior club coaching experience with current USA coaching credentials is a plus.Applicant must demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively and work well with others as well as connect with children and/ or infants.Kswim seeks hard-working coaches who are interested in developing a competitively balanced athlete with emphasis on stroke technique, while effectively training, motivating and supporting swimmers of various abilities from infants through pre-teens.
