Position: Chief Financial Officer

Salary Range: $150,000 - $160,000/year
We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join a highly successful manufacturing company in Hauppauge, NY area. The ideal candidate will be working with a small team of employees and focus primarily on the oversight and management of the accounting function including the following areas: managing and budgeting for all cash flow related issues, including acquisitions/projects, forecasting cash requirements for foreign shipments. Ther person will also manage the budget for all issues such as annual contributions to company ESOP and 401k, manage schedules for PAG/ESOP distributions, calculate and assign annual employee increases as well as work with senior management to award periodic and year-end bonuses.
What you will be doing:
- Manage deadline related payments and deadlines including:
- Vendor payments
- Sales and tax filings
- Payroll processing and payroll tax filings
- 401k deposits and loan repayment filings
- Monthly accruals and financial reporting/filings
- Coordination with outside consultants on quarterly and annual accounting reports
- Manage Retirement Accounts Administration including:
- Manage all aspects of ESOP, working with independent Trustee and external firms as needed for stock valuation, annual ESOP reporting and annual 5500 filing
- Preparation and distribution of year end certificates and reports
- Manage all processes related to company 401K:
- Manage calculations, reporting and deposits of employee contributions
- Review investments funds for 401k
- Administer all aspects of employee distributions and loans if applicable
- Work with TPA Employee fiduciary for annual 401K reporting
- Additional job responsibilities include General Office Management as follows:
- Management of General Liability Insurance policies for both Commercial and Employment; manage Annual Certificate list; prepare reports for annual audit; periodically "shop: policies
- Manage all aspects of company Health and Dental plans/ policies, working with internal management on cost sharing and external broker on selections
- Manage all records and filings for such things as Sec 125, Sexual Harassment Prevention training, OSHA requirements, NYSIF, company and employee records, etc.
- Manage contracts with all outside vendors for such things as office cleaning, grounds maintenance, security, Backflow testing, HVAC, etc.
- May include responsibility for HR (mostly outsourced) and for company social activities as needed
- Develop and execute the company's long-term financial strategy in partnership with ownership and executive leadership
- Serve as a key advisor on financial performance, growth opportunities, capital allocation, and risk management
- Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to ownership, board members, trustees, and other stakeholders

- Establish and maintain internal controls and financial policies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, tax, labor, retirement plan, and regulatory requirements
What experience we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional designation preferred. – must know accounting
- Competent in MS Office applications
- Proficiency in Epicor Prophet 21 highly preferred; working knowledge of financial software and ERP systems required.
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on environment where senior leaders actively participate in day-to-day operations.
- Demonstrated ability to wear multiple hats and manage accounting, finance, compliance, benefits administration, and office operations.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining a strategic business perspective.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and lead a small team effectively.
Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Benefit package includes medical, dental, a 401 (k) retirement plan, paid time off, discretionary bonuses.
