Chopra & Nocerino ensures personalized attention and exceptional service for every case. We are committed to guiding clients through challenging situations with compassion and expertise.

Role Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented candidate to join our medical department. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support in ensuring medical records are obtained and up to date. This individual will communicate frequently with our clients in order to serve them adequately. Under the supervision of an attorney and senior paralegal, this candidate will help facilitate efficient legal research, document preparation, and case organization. The ideal candidate must be dependable, organized, motivated, and goal oriented. This position presents an excellent opportunity for growth and advancement in a great work environment.

Responsibilities

Draft correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents.
Call medical facilities and speak with medical professionals and request medical records.
Assist attorneys and paralegals with scheduling medical appointments.
Communicate with clients via email, phone, and in person.
Answer phone calls and take messages with excellent phone etiquette
Assist attorneys and senior paralegals with preparation of specials packages, demands, and other legal documents.
Perform clerical tasks, such as photocopying, scanning, emailing, and faxing documents.
File and organize legal documents and correspondence.
Other duties as needed.

Skills and Abilities

Experience in MS Outlook, Word, Adobe Pro, Nitro, and NYSCEF
Ability to prioritize, take initiative, and multitask in fast paced environment
Highly organized and detail oriented
Ability to work in a team environment and independently
Bilingual is a plus

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Familiarity with personal injury is a plus.
Must be able to commute to Office in Garden City, NY.
