Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the bookkeeping department by maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with various administrative tasks. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes and requires strong clerical skills, computer literacy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
Manage filing systems for financial documents and maintain organized records.
Support the bookkeeping team with data entry tasks using Google Suite and other software tools.
Answer phone calls and manage communications related to financial inquiries.
Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing office supplies.

Requirements

Proven experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in a bookkeeping or accounting environment.
Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Google Suite applications.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clients.
Familiarity with office phone systems and general office procedures.
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or personal assistant is advantageous but not required.
