About the Role
We are seeking a collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based clinician to join our growing team as Assistant Clinical Director.
This position combines:
- Clinical leadership and supervision
- Program development
- Intensive Outpatient Program support
- Administrative responsibilities
- A small outpatient caseload
The Assistant Clinical Director will work closely with the Clinical Director and Practice Owner to support clinicians, strengthen programming, and maintain high-quality care throughout the practice.
This role is ideal for a clinician who values evidence-based, family-centered, and neurodivergent-affirming care and enjoys leadership and mentorship while maintaining a manageable clinical caseload.
Key Position Details
- Supervise approximately two to four clinicians, candidates, and/or interns
- Maintain a caseload of approximately five to ten outpatient clients
- Complete approximately one to three intakes per week
- Support clinical programming and quality-improvement initiatives
- Provide backup IOP coverage as needed
- Participate in leadership, team, and ERP consultation meetings
- Schedule outpatient appointments directly with clients and families
Compensation
This position includes a base salary plus additional compensation for completed clinical services.
Base Salary
$50,000 per year
The base salary covers the leadership and administrative responsibilities of the position, including:
- Clinical supervision and mentorship
- Program development and quality improvement
- Leadership, team, and consultation meetings
- Clinical documentation review
- Staff onboarding and professional development
- Clinical coordination and operational support
- Backup IOP coverage as needed
- Other Assistant Clinical Director responsibilities as assigned
Additional Clinical Compensation
- $100 per completed outpatient clinical hour
- $150 per completed 90-minute intake
Estimated Total Compensation
$80,000–$115,000 per year
Total compensation will depend on outpatient caseload, intake volume, and scheduling preferences.
Primary ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Administration
- Partner with the Clinical Director and Practice Owner to support daily clinical operations
- Help implement and refine clinical programming
- Support quality assurance and evidence-based practice initiatives
- Participate in leadership meetings and operational planning
- Assist with onboarding and training new clinicians
- Mentor clinicians and support their professional development
- Promote a collaborative, supportive, and accountable team culture
- Provide clinical coordination and operational support
Clinical Supervision
- Supervise approximately two to four clinicians, candidates, and/or interns
- Provide regular clinical consultation, mentorship, and feedback
- Review clinical documentation and treatment plans
- Support the implementation of evidence-based treatments
- Assist with risk assessment and clinical decision-making
- Help clinicians provide individualized, neurodivergent-affirming care
IOP and Program Support
- Provide backup coverage for IOP sessions as needed
- Support interdisciplinary treatment planning
- Assist with clinical coordination and program operations
- Help maintain continuity of care across outpatient and IOP services
- Contribute to program development and quality-improvement initiatives
Outpatient Clinical Care
- Maintain a small caseload of approximately five to ten outpatient clients
- Complete approximately one to three intakes per week, depending on scheduling preferences and practice needs
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy, including Exposure and Response Prevention when appropriate
- Provide strengths-based, neurodivergent-affirming care
- Collaborate with clients and families throughout treatment
- Schedule appointments directly with clients and families
- Complete documentation, treatment plans, and outcome measures promptly
- Use measurement-based care to guide treatment
Schedule
This position offers significant flexibility outside of required meetings, supervision responsibilities, and occasional IOP support.
The Assistant Clinical Director schedules outpatient appointments directly with clients and families based on mutual availability.
Required Standing Meetings
- ERP Consultation, virtual: Mondays from 2:00–3:00 p.m.
- Team Meetings: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
- Leadership Meeting: Weekly meeting with the Clinical Director and Practice Owner
Required Qualifications
- Active Colorado license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or psychologist
- Experience working with adolescents and/or young adults
- Experience providing psychotherapy within a higher level of care
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to evidence-based, family-centered, and neurodivergent-affirming care
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing Exposure and Response Prevention
- Experience treating OCD, anxiety disorders, or related conditions
- Previous clinical supervision experience
- Experience in IOP, PHP, or residential treatment settings
- Experience supporting Autistic and ADHD adolescents and young adults using neurodivergent-affirming approaches
- Interest in mentoring clinicians and contributing to program development
