Job Opportunity:

We are growing and we are looking for a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant to join our high-impact clinical team!

You Will Make an Impact By:

Performing patient workups and preliminary testing to provide doctors with the precise baseline data needed to plan highly accurate, life-changing vision corrections.
Conducting advanced diagnostic testing to ensure a highly customized, safe, and successful treatment plan for every patient.
Facilitating efficient clinical flow by proactively managing schedules and communication to respect our patients' time and maximize quality doctor-patient interactions.
Triaging patient phone inquiries to provide peace of mind, empathetic care, and accurate clinical guidance when patients need it most.
Maintaining and stocking exam lanes to guarantee a pristine, safe, orderly, and highly efficient working environment for our clinical team.
Processing prescription and prior authorization requests to eliminate post-visit barriers and ensure patients get their medications promptly.
Participating in team meetings and professional growth to continuously elevate our clinic's standard of care and contribute to a high-performing culture.

You Have:

Active Ophthalmic Assistant Certification (COA) is required.
Minimum of six months of clinical experience (or 1,000 hours) as an ophthalmic assistant.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Position Pay Range: $25-$30/hour. Actual compensation offered by Vance Thompson Vision may vary and is dependent on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills and geographic location.
