Full Job Description

CNC Machinist

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required

Must be able to pass background check

Minimum 2 years CNC experience

Significant hands-on experience working on a production floor

Solid necessary math skills including measuring

Significant knowledge of CNC machine operation and maintenance

Experience with Fanuc & Haas machine control

Ability to read/decipher blueprints

Knowledge of tooling and tool holding

Knowledge of machine shop hand tools (caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore mic, depth mic, pin gage, thread gage, etc.).

Knowledge of basic G&M code.

Keen eye for detail

Able to perform physically demanding work—standing, bending, lifting 40+lbs regularly

Positive attitude, reliable, and a team player

Good communication skills, written and verbal

Commitment to safety at all times

Duties/Responsibilities

Setup, adjust, comp, and prove new and or repeat product

Build tool package per setup sheets

Inspect the first article produced per blueprints to ensure quality

Monitor the run throughout the cycle, checking that specifications are met

Keep all work areas clean and organized

Be available for overtime during high volume seasons
