Full Job Description

Job Overview

Evercrest Financial is seeking motivated, professional, and self-driven individuals to join our growing team of independent tax preparers for the upcoming tax season. This is a primarily virtual opportunity with the flexibility to work from home while building your own client base. Occasional in-person meetings, training sessions, or team events may be held 1–3 times per year.

Whether you're new to tax preparation or an experienced preparer looking for a supportive tax office, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate federal and state individual income tax returns.
Review client tax documents for completeness and accuracy.
Communicate professionally with clients throughout the tax preparation process.
Maintain confidentiality of all taxpayer information.
Follow IRS guidelines, company policies, and ethical standards.
Respond to client questions and assist with gathering required documentation.
Meet tax season deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Market your tax preparation services and build your own client base.
Participate in required training and team meetings.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to obtain a valid PTIN before preparing tax returns.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable using computers and online software.
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous tax preparation experience is appreciated but not required.
Experience in customer service, sales, marketing, bookkeeping, finance, or accounting is a plus.
Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
