Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Mobile Optometrist to deliver comprehensive eye care services directly to patients in various community settings. This role offers the opportunity to provide personalized, high-quality eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, and promote healthy vision in diverse populations. As a Mobile Optometrist, you will travel to different locations, ensuring accessible eye care for individuals of all ages, including pediatrics, while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and visual conditions
Prescribe corrective lenses and treatment plans
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Educate patients on eye health and preventative care
Collaborate with healthcare staff and facility teams
Travel to assigned patient care locations
Provide compassionate, patient-focused care

Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
Active Texas Optometry license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Strong communication and clinical skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
Professional, dependable, and patient focused

Preferred Skills

Experience with EMR/EHR systems (Practice Fusion is preferred; will train)
Strong time management and organizational skills
Adaptability in mobile or fast-paced healthcare settings
Team-oriented mindset and excellent bedside manner
