RPO Contract-to-Hire Recruiter
CDL Drivers | Skilled Trades | Sales & Business Professional | High Volume
We are hiring! Our client is a leading manufacturer of consumer products known for innovative, ergonomic design. With rapid growth across multiple verticals, they are expanding their workforce and seeking a results-driven RPO Contract to Hire Recruiter to build talent pipelines across three key hiring disciplines.
The RPO Recruiter will partner closely with HR leadership and hiring managers to drive full-cycle, high-volume recruitment across CDL Driver roles, Skilled Trades (with an emphasis on carpentry), High-Volume Warehouse positions, and Sales roles as well as Business Professional positions. This is a fast-paced, metrics-driven contract role for an experienced recruiter who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing and consumer-goods environment.
Location: Remote
Contract Duration: 3–6 months, with potential for extension or conversion to full-time
Hourly Pay Rate: $30–$45/hr W2 (commensurate with experience and primary discipline)
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CDL Driver Recruiting — Primary Focus
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for CDL Driver positions, with emphasis on Boom Truck Operators and related commercial driving roles
- Source candidates through professional networks, union boards, vocational schools, apprenticeship programs, and specialty job boards
- Conduct skills-based screening and coordinate practical assessments as appropriate
- Build and maintain a proactive pipeline of pre-qualified CDL talent to meet ongoing and surge hiring needs
- Partner with operations leads to understand role-specific technical, compliance, and licensing requirements
Skilled Trades Recruiting — Carpentry Focus
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for skilled trades positions, with emphasis on carpenters, cabinet makers, finish carpenters, and woodworking specialists
- Source candidates via trades networks, union boards, vocational schools, apprenticeship programs, and specialty job boards
- Conduct skills-based screening and coordinate practical assessments or portfolio reviews
- Build and maintain a proactive pipeline of pre-qualified trades talent to meet ongoing and surge hiring needs
- Partner with shop foremen and operations leads to understand job-specific technical requirements
Sales and/or Business Professional Recruiting
Own the full-cycle recruiting process for Outside Sales Representatives, Account Executives, BDRs/SDRs, and other quota-carrying roles
Partner with sales leaders to understand performance expectations, territory demands, and the traits of top-producing sales professionals
Proactively source high-quality, commission-driven sales talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, boolean search, referrals, networking, and direct outreach
Conduct deep, competency-based sales screens—confidently distinguishing proven performers (quota attainment, hunting behaviors, pipeline creation) from polished interviewers
Evaluate what truly matters in sales success: activity levels, prospecting behavior, territory management, closing ability, and revenue results
Manage candidate pipelines, coordinate interviews, and facilitate offer and onboarding processes with HR and sales leadership
High-Volume Recruiting — All Disciplines
- Manage concurrent requisitions across all three hiring disciplines simultaneously
- Execute efficient, repeatable sourcing and screening workflows to meet aggressive hiring timelines
- Track and report weekly metrics: submittals, interviews, offers, and hires
- Coordinate group interview sessions and hiring events as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely data in the ATS and provide regular updates on pipeline health and time-to-fill
- Ensure an excellent candidate experience that reflects the pace, professionalism, and culture of the client organization
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and support a high volume of requisitions in a fast-growing environment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience including interacting directly with hiring managers from intake calls through hire
- Ability to influence key stakeholder to reduce time-to-fill
- At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: CDL Driver recruiting, skilled trades/construction/manufacturing recruiting, or outside sales recruiting
- Demonstrated success in high-volume recruiting (managing 20+ open requisitions simultaneously)
- Proven ability to source and place candidates in competitive, fast-paced environments
- Strong command of ATS platforms (Workday, iCIMS, Greenhouse, Avature, or similar)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as a contract resource
- Comfort working with remote and geographically dispersed hiring teams
