About the Job:
As a Budtender, you will assist customers in selecting cannabis products, provide information on strains, and ensure a positive shopping experience. This includes gaining knowledge on our products, as well as general knowledge of the cannabis industry and processes, such as types of consumption, laws, etc. Budtenders should maintain excellent and timely customer service and promote products during transactions, all around improving the health of the business. Budtenders occasionally assist with other necessary tasks that keep the dispensary running smoothly (cleaning and organization, inventory, packaging and production, etc.).
Overview of Responsibilites:
-greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
-educate customers on strains, products, consumption, and effects
-maintain knowledge of current product
-operate point of sale (POS) system accurately for transactions (we use Greenbits, so prior knowledge is a plus)
-assist with keeping the dispensary clean and organized, as well as other tasks to help keep the dispensary moving smoothly
-follow all state regulations and company policies to maintain compliance with OLCC
-upsell products to increase sales
-assist in receiving product from vendors
Qualifications and Skills:
-must have Marijuana Worker Permit or able to obtain
-prior experience in the marijuana industry and/or retail is a plus
-strong communication skills, ability to maintain good customer service with diverse customers
-time management and multi-tasking skills in order to efficiently handle multiple tasks
-familiarity with POS/electronic sales platforms is a plus
-familiarity with METRC and other cannabis platforms is a plus
-at least a basic knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods is advantageous
-ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and tasks
