Counselor I - Cornerstone

Job Description

Columbia Community Mental Health is a nonprofit agency and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that provides services to individuals with mental, addiction and developmental disabilities.

Position: Counselor I

Department: Residential - Cornerstone

Shift: Tuesday to Saturday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm (swing shift, 30 min unpaid lunch).

Salary Range: $28.13 to $36.37 (hourly). There are 15 steps on our salary scale. We use a bona fide factor system to determine starting wage (years of experience, education, credentials, and specialty skills that relate to the job requirements).

Generous Paid Time Off Package. (Full-time employees can earn 22 days of vacation, 9 days of sick time by the end of the first year). Accrual increases with length of service. Can use accrued time after 90 days of employment.

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in social services field or combination of education/experience that qualifies as a QMHA required; History of working cooperatively in a team setting with at least two years relevant work experience preferred.

Note: All QMHA positions in the state of Oregon will need to be filled by candidates who are officially QMHA certified or registered with MHACBO. For details, go directly to MHACBO (www.mhacbo.org)

Summary: The Counselor I, as part of an integrated care team, will provide therapeutic services to adults, children, adolescents and families as assigned by a designated QMHP or Clinical Supervisor. The Counselor I may be assigned to any agency program including, but not limited to: ACT, Crisis, Intensive Services, Outpatient, Jail Diversion, Wrap, Residential or Detox. Essential duties may vary per location/department/position.
