We are a family-owned heating and cooling company based in Columbia Station, Ohio, with more than 35 years in business. We are growing, taking on new customers and looking for a dependable technician who knows the trade, takes pride in doing the job correctly and wants a stable long-term position.
This is a senior field position for someone who can troubleshoot difficult residential HVAC problems, communicate professionally with homeowners and make sound decisions in the field.
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience and demonstrated field ability
- Higher compensation considered for exceptional diagnostic and technical experience
- Guaranteed 40-hour workweeks year-round
- No seasonal winter layoffs

- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, control and refrigerant problems
- Use meters, gauges and diagnostic tools confidently and correctly

- Identify the actual root cause of a failure rather than repeatedly replacing parts
- Perform repairs, maintenance and system testing
- Confirm safe and reliable system operation before leaving the job
- Clearly explain findings, repair options and recommendations to homeowners
- Recognize when a repair is appropriate and when replacement should reasonably be discussed
- Complete accurate service notes, equipment records and job documentation
- Properly handle refrigerants and follow EPA and company safety requirements
- Maintain an organized service vehicle, tools and assigned equipment
- Assist with installations, changeouts or other field work when needed

- Explain technical problems in a way homeowners can understand
- Complete a full service schedule without constant oversight
- Handle difficult or intermittent problems without immediately calling another technician

- Acceptable driving record
- Dependability and strong attendance
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of residential HVAC field work
We care more about proven ability than inflated résumés, unnecessary credentials or job titles. Years of experience matter, but the ability to diagnose, repair and complete the job correctly matters more.
Experience We Especially Value
- Five or more years of residential HVAC service and repair experience
- Experience servicing Carrier, Lennox, Goodman or similar residential equipment
- Residential boiler and hydronic heating experience
- Heat pump and mini-split diagnostic experience
- Residential installation or equipment changeout experience
- Sheet-metal, ductwork, plumbing or electrical experience
- Experience training, mentoring or assisting developing technicians
- Experience presenting honest repair and replacement options without high-pressure sales tactics
Not Yet at the Senior Level?
We are primarily hiring for an experienced senior service technician, but we are also interested in meeting hardworking HVAC professionals who are still developing their skills.
You are encouraged to apply if you have experience or training in:
- HVAC installation
- Preventative maintenance
- Residential service
- HVAC trade school
- Mechanical or construction work
- Helper or apprentice positions
Depending on your current experience and ability, you may be considered for a maintenance, installation, junior technician, apprentice or helper role.
Be honest about your current skill level. We would rather meet a dependable person who wants to learn the trade correctly than someone who exaggerates their experience.
