Job Description

JOB TITLE: Assembly Supervisor

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assembly Supervisor to join our operations team. This position oversees a group of operators in the assembly of various products, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on manufacturing experience, and a solid understanding of lean principles and continuous improvement practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of assembly operators in the department.

· Actively participate in assembly and production processes as needed to meet schedules.

· Assign and monitor progress of daily job orders to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

· Enforce operational procedures and safety protocols to meet company goals for quality, efficiency, and compliance.

· Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, evaluations, and performance.

· Oversee and maintain safety and quality documentation for ongoing audits and certifications.

· Identify and implement opportunities for Continuous Improvement (CI) to streamline operations and reduce waste.

· Participate in daily production meetings to update department status, capacity and bottlenecks

· Foster a positive team environment focused on communication, accountability, and professional development.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

· Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

· Experience in make-to-order and build-to-order production environments

· Background in Lean Manufacturing, SS, or continuous flow principles is a plus

· Ability to read, understand and follow drawings, specifications and work instructions

· Previous experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)

· Strong leadership communication, and problem solving skills

· Knowledge of and experience using common assembly tools

· Ability to support first shift schedule including flexibility to support overtime when needed

· Positive, energetic and team-oriented approach to leadership

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
