Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a dedicated Acupuncturist, where your expertise will play a vital role in promoting holistic and integrative healing for patients. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your skills in traditional Chinese medicine to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of health conditions. Your passion for patient care and commitment to wellness will help improve lives through personalized acupuncture treatments that harness the body's natural healing abilities. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and evaluating medical histories to determine appropriate acupuncture treatment plans.
Perform acupuncture procedures using sterile techniques, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout each session.
Manage acute pain conditions effectively through targeted acupuncture techniques such as trigger point therapy and other pain management strategies.
Manage internal medicine disorders.
Educate patients on treatment options, expected outcomes, and self-care practices to support ongoing wellness.
Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, patient progress, and clinical notes in accordance with healthcare regulations using our EHR, Jane app.
Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately interpret patient needs and tailor therapies accordingly.
Ensure aseptic techniques are consistently followed to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety during all procedures.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop integrated treatment approaches for complex cases involving pain management or chronic conditions.

Requirements

Graduates of an accredited acupuncture program (master's degree minimum, doctoral degree preferred), additional certifications such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and BLS (Basic Life Support) are required.
Holds current California acupuncture license (L.Ac.)
Proven experience in patient service delivery within a clinical setting.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe practice.
Demonstrated ability to perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and pain evaluations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their treatment plans and wellness strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Electronic Health Records
