Full Job Description

Empowered Behavior Solutions is an in-home/school/community-based behavioral therapy agency focused on providing individuals who have developmental disabilities with science-based Applied Behavior Analysis services throughout Los Angeles County Area. Our programs include Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Naturalistic Environmental Training (NET), In-Home Parent Education, and Social Skills Training. Empowered Behavior Solution programs are designed for individuals of all ages diagnosed with Autism, developmental disabilities, or any other social delays or challenges.

We provide ABA support services at schools (Culver City and Lawndale school districts), homes and communities. We also manage behavioral day programs for adults.

We are a clinically focused and compassion-driven behavioral health agency who strives to change lives, one behavior at a time. Title: Behavioral Supervisor

Full Time and Part Time

Job Description:

Model, evaluate and provide feedback on the implementation of behavioral services.
Implement and create behavioral and educational methods and materials to increase skills (e.g., DTT, token economy, PECS, task analysis).
Analyze and evaluate data on each client's progress to increase socially significant behaviors.
Create programs that are client specific, individualized to each client’s unique deficits and needs.
Ensure clients have program books in place within two weeks of client authorization for services. Program books must be updated and organized, including sufficient data sheets, ABA sheets, procedure guides, PV forms and daily summaries.
Schedule, coordinate and attend team meetings.
Train parents and staff on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (evidence-based practices).
Provide ongoing training to behavior technicians on program implementation, data collection methods, current autism research, professional code of conduct, completing their competencies, etc.
Ensure all programs include Parent Education goals; technicians are trained to support parent application of goals during sessions.
Collaborate with caregivers/parents to create materials (e.g. token economy, visual schedules, behavior checklists, behavior contracts etc.).
Meet with Clinical Director(s) on a bi-weekly basis to review clinical competency.
Conduct technician reviews regularly and provide feedback to Clinical Director(s) regarding technician’s performance.
Communicate parental concerns and needs immediately via phone, e-mail or scheduled meeting to the Clinical Director(s).
Provide consultation to caregivers/parents utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and Behavior Reduction.
Identify factors interfering with effective service delivery and schedule meetings to collaborate and develop resolution.
Use empirically based procedures; analyze data and ensure accuracy, reliability and validity of all programs.
Abide by all due dates including submission of PV Forms, technician evaluations, staff schedule, progress reports, assessments and additional projects assigned.
Produce professional reports and assessments which clearly depict client’s skills, progress and parent education goals. Including visual graphs, measurable goals, objectively written summaries and original content.
Produce accurate time records in the client scheduling/staff time reporting system, monitor client’s schedule, session notes, and rendered hours for accuracy.
Show flexibility with scheduling and demonstrate excellent time management skills to maximize contracts

Job Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education or other Social Science related field preferred. MA/MS students welcome to apply for Associate Supervisory positions.
In the process to become BCBA
A minimum of two years of experience working with children/parents with disabilities.
Professional experience in supervising, training and mentoring staff in the field of ABA in a treatment setting
Experience writing session notes, progress reports, assessment reports and graphing (preferred, not required).
Functional understanding of advanced ABA principles (DTT, PRT, PBS, NET, BST).
Previous experience conducting functional behavioral analyses (FBA) preferred.
Knowledge of developmental milestones from ages 12 months to 18 years of age.
Previous experience working with the adult population preferred.
Present a professional demeanor (i.e. appropriate clothing, hygiene).
Demonstrates excellent time management and organizational skills, can multitask and prioritize demands.
Serve culturally and linguistically diverse families in low and high SES areas.
Comfortable working in homes of families with limited resources.
Use professional language (avoid slang) when conversing in a work-related conversation.
Reliable transportation and current vehicle liability insurance.
Must stand, sit, twist, kneel, bend-over, crouch down, walk, & sit/play on floor for extended periods of time. Must lift, push, and pull up to 40lbs without assistance from another adult.
Demonstrate good affect and outgoing personality.
Enjoy working with individuals of all ages, races, religious backgrounds and personalities.
Ability to be available to work on Saturdays as needed to respond to client needs, handle urgent matters in the field and attend training sessions.
Ability to work with clients that may have sexual dysfunctions or other potentially disturbing behaviors, including physical and verbal aggression.
Ability to be available to work as early as 6am and as late as 9pm as needed to respond to client needs or handle urgent matters in the field.
Excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills in English. Bilingualism is a plus!
Acceptable fingerprint clearance through California DOJ and FBI
Tuberculosis clearance
