Full Job Description

Job Summary

CARSTAR Collision Center is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is committed to producing high-quality repairs, takes pride in their craftsmanship, and works efficiently in a fast-paced collision repair environment.

Responsibilities

Perform complete collision repairs, including structural and non-structural repairs.
Remove dents and damage using proper repair techniques.
Replace and align body panels, doors, fenders, quarter panels, and other vehicle components.
Perform sheet metal repairs and fabrication as needed.
Operate MIG welding and other automotive welding equipment safely and accurately.
Restore vehicles to manufacturer specifications using OEM repair procedures.
Prepare repaired surfaces for refinishing by sanding, feather edging, masking, and priming.
Assist with disassembly and reassembly of vehicles.
Diagnose collision-related damage and identify additional repair needs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all safety procedures and company quality standards.
Communicate effectively with estimators, parts personnel, and management to ensure timely repairs.
Assist with vehicle detailing and final quality inspections when needed.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as an Auto Body Technician in a collision repair facility or dealership.
Strong knowledge of collision repair procedures and OEM repair standards.
Experience with structural and non-structural repairs.
Proficient in MIG welding, panel replacement, and sheet metal repair.
Experience using frame measuring systems and automotive repair equipment.
Ability to read and interpret repair orders and OEM repair procedures.
Familiarity with vehicle disassembly, reassembly, and repair planning.
Experience with aluminum repair is a plus.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
