What you will be doing

Maintain communication with clients throughout the event planning process, from contract signing to post-event billing
Serve as the main on-site contact for clients during their stay or event - greet clients upon arrival, check meeting room setup prior to start of event, and provide assistance to Operations Team as needed
Create Banquet Event Orders for each event with detailed information on setup, menus, audio-visual, and other group needs
Prepare other miscellaneous materials prior to group arrival as needed including welcome letters, signage, etc.
Distribute event details to hotel staff and confirm all departments have the necessary information to provide the group with exceptional service
Handle group and individual reservations for all Sales accounts - make new reservations, load rooming lists, set up routing and billing, create and close out house accounts, collect and charge credit cards, monitor deposit schedules, and send invoices/receipts
Monitor incoming calls to the sales department and forward as needed to ensure sales inquiries are handled in a timely manner
Provide miscellaneous administrative support to the Sales Manager and Director of Sales

The ideal candidate for this position

The ideal Sales Coordinator candidate will have at least one year of hotel sales or operations experience, display exceptional communication skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a positive, service-oriented individual who can be a professional representative for the Sales Department in all interactions with our clients. This is an entry-level sales position and an ideal fit for someone who is looking to grow and start a career in hotel sales and/or events.

Job Requirements

High school degree or equivalent
Strong computer skills
Knowledge of FOSSE and Delphi a plus, but not required
Exceptional time management skills, organization, and attention to detail
Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with clients via phone, email, and in person
Must have the ability to work a full-time schedule Monday through Friday, with occasional changes to schedule (early, late, or weekends) as needed to service events.
Job will regularly require sitting at a computer for extended periods of time. Occasionally will need to lift up to 50 lbs and move tables, chairs, equipment, and signage in the meeting space.

This position also has the opportunity to earn gratuities by servicing events.

Pay: $26.50 per hour
