Full Job Description

The FLP Project Manager is responsible for the setup and review of all installation projects within commercial properties. They will be responsible for developing a comprehensive project plan that guides team members to successfully complete the project within scope and budget. The FLP Project Manager is responsible for the review and management of all costs associated to their projects, completing both project billing and WIP adjustments in a timely manner. They will be responsible for all client correspondence and meetings to provide project status.
Responsibilities include advance project troubleshooting and programming, project contract review, procurement of project materials, budget and cost monitoring, team performance and development.

Essential Functions:

Creates and manages project plans, including schedules, budgets, and staffing assignments.
Oversees final project inspections before AHJ inspections to ensure work meets code, contract requirements, and quality standards.
Performs site visits to confirm projects stay within scope and company standards, and reviews out-of-scope work requests.
Manages project budgets, tracks financial changes, submits change orders, updates WIP, and ensures timely billing.
Supports Account Executives with estimates, proposals, and job walks by providing technical and installation expertise.
Builds and maintains strong customer and business relationships.
Follows company fleet and inventory policies and maintains assigned vehicle and equipment.
Creates onboarding plans for new employees and coordinates required training or certifications.
Conducts performance reviews and regularly communicates expectations and feedback to team members.
Reviews and approves employee timesheets and expense reports while ensuring payroll deadlines are met.
Assists with interviewing and hiring candidates for the department.

10+ years in construction and/or low voltage in the commercial environment (Fire Life Safety systems)
5+ years in a leadership/management role
High school diploma (or equivalent)
Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Ability to drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day, daily.
Ability to walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily.
Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations.
Work environment may be construction sites, commercial buildings, and multi-tenant properties.
Ascend/Descend and work at heights above 6ft and extreme heights, occasionally
Move/Transport items weighing 50+ pounds, occasionally
