About the Role

We are seeking a Production Manager to join our team at Van Nuys, CA bakery. As a Production Manager, you will be accountable for leading bakery production operations, driving operational excellence, and ensuring production goals, food safety standards, and quality expectations are consistently achieved. This role plays a critical part in optimizing manufacturing performance, developing production leadership teams, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation

Salary Range: $95,000 - $130,000

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)

Lead bakery production operations to achieve daily production, quality, and food safety objectives.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and waste reduction.
Manage inventory control processes and optimize raw material utilization.
Oversee production planning and execution to support operational and business goals.
Ensure compliance with GFSI, BRC, SQF, and customer quality requirements.
Develop, coach, and mentor production supervisors to build a high-performing team.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
10+ years of experience in the food manufacturing industry.
5-7 years of experience in bakery production management.
Experience leading teams within a high-volume food manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality systems, including GFSI, BRC, or SQF standards.
Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Experience leading continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives.
Experience supporting new product development and commercial production launches.
