About the Role
HouseCall MD is seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide mobile medical care to geriatric and medically complex patients throughout the San Gabriel Valley.
Physicians visit patients in private homes, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and other residential care settings. This position is designed for efficient, structured rounding with strong technology and office support.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care visits in homes and residential facilities
- Manage chronic conditions and routine primary care needs
- Conduct post-hospital follow-up visits when appropriate
- Coordinate care with nurses, specialists, caregivers, facility staff, and families
- Complete timely and accurate electronic medical record documentation
Physician Support
- Geographic clustering of patient visits to reduce driving time
- Proprietary mobile application for route optimization
- AI-integrated electronic medical record system
- Dictation tools for efficient documentation
- Office support for scheduling, orders, referrals, and patient coordination
Compensation and Transportation
Company Driver Option: $325,000 annually
- Pick-up from the physician’s home
- Transportation between patient locations
- Drop-off at home at the end of the workday
Self-Drive Option: $350,000 annually
- Geographically optimized patient schedule
- Mileage reimbursement provided
Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Active and unrestricted California medical license
- Active DEA registration
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine
- Comfortable providing care in patient homes and facilities
Experience with geriatric, medically complex, home-based, or facility-based patients is preferred.
Service Area
Patients are located throughout the San Gabriel Valley, including Pasadena, San Gabriel, Alhambra, Arcadia, Temple City, Monterey Park, Rosemead, El Monte, West Covina, Baldwin Park, and nearby communities.
