Schedule

We are looking for a full-time Line Cook/Prep Cook. The shifts we are looking to fill are Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm.

Adam's Get Down Gumbo & SmokeHouse is a vibrant Southern-style Smokehouse that brings the bold flavors of Louisiana to life, fused with classic Southern BBQ. Operating as a ghost kitchen restaurant, catering company, and farmers market vendor, we serve the Los Angeles and Orange County areas with a passion for quality and flavor.

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Prep Cook/Line Cook to join our small culinary team.. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing ingredients and assisting in the creation of our signature dishes, ensuring that every meal reflects our commitment to quality and taste. The ideal candidate will work with the Executive Chef to prep ingredients, smoke our signature meats, prepare hot food for the delivery apps, prepare catering orders, and prepare and package food items for farmers market sales.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
Assist Chef in cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure high standards of hygiene.
Support catering operations by preparing food items for events as needed.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages.

Requirements

Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Basic culinary skills with an eagerness to learn more.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
