Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer / Auditor to support a large-scale aerospace quality audit program in South Gate, California. This role will focus on product, process, and quality system auditing within a demanding aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on aerospace quality experience, strong knowledge of AS9100, and the ability to review technical documentation, identify compliance gaps, and clearly communicate audit findings. This position is best suited for someone who can contribute immediately with minimal onboarding.

3–5 years of Quality Engineering experience
Quality Engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing strongly preferred
Previous experience conducting or supporting product, process, and/or quality system audits
Experience with AS9100 and aerospace quality requirements
Experience with aerospace forgings and/or metals manufacturing
Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and FAI documentation
Experience with product traceability and associated quality records
Experience with configuration management, engineering changes, or revision/configuration control
Conduct product audits to evaluate product quality and compliance with applicable aerospace requirements
Perform process and quality system audits as assigned
Review manufacturing, inspection, and quality documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Identify and document quality issues, discrepancies, nonconformances, and potential compliance gaps
Support comprehensive aerospace audit programs and compliance activities
Verify product traceability and configuration-related requirements where applicable
Support FAI activities and review associated documentation
Prepare clear, accurate, and technically detailed audit reports and written findings
Communicate audit results and quality concerns to appropriate stakeholders
Collaborate with quality, engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams
Strong technical writing and reporting skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to make an immediate contribution with minimal onboarding
Onsite in South Gate, CA
