Job Summary

Company Confidential (hyper-growth mode!) is seeking an accomplished Senior Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist who is a true full-cycle recruiter and proactive talent hunter. This role is designed for someone who can independently manage a recruiting desk from initial intake through accepted offer—while placing particular emphasis on identifying and engaging high-caliber passive candidates for specialized, senior-level, and hard-to-fill positions.

The ideal candidate does not rely solely on job postings or inbound applicants. This person knows how to map talent markets, develop advanced Boolean searches, uncover candidates across multiple platforms, and craft personalized outreach that generates responses from people who may not be actively looking for a new opportunity.

Success requires strong command of LinkedIn, applicant tracking systems, Indeed, GitHub, search engines, and other sourcing tools, along with the creativity and persistence to find exceptional talent through less conventional channels. This person must also be organized, highly responsive, metrics-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesPassive Sourcing and Talent Headhunting

Proactively identify, research, and engage high-performing passive candidates for specialized, leadership, and difficult-to-fill roles.
Develop and execute advanced Boolean and X-ray search strategies across LinkedIn, Google, GitHub, job boards, professional communities, industry directories, and other relevant platforms.
Conduct talent mapping and competitive research to identify target companies, adjacent industries, transferable talent pools, and prospective candidates.
Build creative sourcing strategies that extend beyond conventional job postings and resume databases.
Develop compelling, highly personalized outreach that generates interest and response from passive talent.
Build and maintain long-term pipelines of qualified prospects for current and anticipated hiring needs.
Continuously test and refine sourcing channels, search methodologies, messaging, and candidate-engagement strategies.

Full-Cycle Recruiting

Manage assigned searches from initial hiring-manager intake through sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer acceptance, and preboarding handoff.
Partner with hiring managers to clarify business needs, define role outcomes, identify must-have qualifications, and establish realistic search strategies.
Translate job requirements into clear candidate profiles, sourcing plans, interview criteria, and compelling market-facing messaging.
Conduct structured candidate screens that evaluate experience, measurable accomplishments, problem-solving ability, motivation, communication, and alignment with company values.
Present hiring managers with well-qualified candidates supported by concise, evidence-based assessments.
Coordinate interviews, maintain candidate momentum, gather timely feedback, and drive searches toward decisive outcomes.
Support candidate closing, offer discussions, reference checks, and other required pre-hire activities.
Deliver a responsive, professional, and high-quality experience to candidates and hiring teams throughout the process.

Recruiting Operations and Performance

Maintain complete, accurate, and timely candidate records within the applicant tracking system.
Manage multiple simultaneous searches while maintaining urgency, organization, communication, and attention to detail.
Track recruiting activity and outcomes through clearly defined goals and metrics.
Use recruiting data to identify bottlenecks, improve funnel conversion, and strengthen sourcing effectiveness.
Provide hiring managers and leadership with clear pipeline updates, market intelligence, risks, and recommended actions.
Ensure recruiting practices remain consistent, job-related, appropriately documented, and compliant with applicable employment and data-privacy requirements.
Protect confidential candidate and company information.

Performance Measures

Success in this role may be evaluated through metrics such as:

Qualified passive candidates identified and engaged
Passive-candidate outreach and response rates
Qualified candidate submissions and hiring-manager acceptance rates
Interview-to-offer and offer-acceptance rates
Time to present qualified candidates
Time to fill
Quality and retention of hires
Candidate and hiring-manager experience
ATS accuracy and recruiting-process compliance
Strength and diversity of pipelines developed for critical roles

Performance will be measured by the quality and durability of hires—not simply recruiting activity or hiring volume.

Qualifications

Substantial experience managing full-cycle recruiting for specialized, professional, senior-level, or otherwise hard-to-fill positions.
Demonstrated success proactively sourcing and hiring passive candidates.
Advanced proficiency in Boolean search development, LinkedIn sourcing, X-ray searching, and talent-market research.
Strong working knowledge of applicant tracking systems, Indeed, GitHub, resume databases, professional networks, and other recruiting and sourcing tools.
Ability to learn unfamiliar talent markets quickly and translate complex business needs into effective search strategies.
Strong candidate-assessment and interviewing skills, with the ability to distinguish demonstrated performance from polished presentation.
Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and advising them on candidate availability, market conditions, selection criteria, and recruiting strategy.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including persuasive candidate outreach.
Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple active searches in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail, follow-through, urgency, judgment, and personal accountability.
Comfort working toward defined goals and being measured through recruiting-funnel and quality-of-hire metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience recruiting across several functions, such as sales, operations, supply chain, logistics, finance and accounting, technology, marketing, and leadership.
Experience supporting a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, or high-performance organization.
Familiarity with performance-based hiring and structured, evidence-driven candidate assessment.
Experience developing recruiting dashboards, sourcing reports, or funnel analytics.
Demonstrated ability to fill roles for which job postings and traditional applicant flow were insufficient.

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
