Tax Manager

Location: Campbell, CA (San Jose Area)
Position Type: Full-Time | Hybrid
Salary Range: $150,000++ Base (Commensurate with experience)

We are a prominent 13-person boutique public accounting and consulting firm founded by veteran CPAs with deep roots in national public accounting and global advisory. Our Campbell-based firm bridges the gap between sophisticated corporate accounting capabilities and high-touch boutique service. We offer a refreshing culture that caps busy season weeks at a highly manageable 55 hours, balanced by loose flexibility during the rest of the year.

Position Overview

We are seeking an expert technical leader to step into a Senior Tax Manager role, with a strategic pathway to transition into a Tax Director position over the coming months. This leadership professional will drive highly technical tax advisory pipelines for diverse entities. Because of the immediate leadership needs and training integration, this position requires a full-time, in-office presence at our Campbell headquarters (with long-term location flexibility open for discussion).

Key Responsibilities

Technical Supervision: Lead technical tax workflows across high-level Corporate tax infrastructure, Trust accounting, and complex multi-tiered business Entities.
Client Advisory: Act as a primary client advisor, interpreting complex tax codes and presenting strategic fiscal positions directly to business owners and executives.
Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a small, capable staff of 13 professionals, facilitating high-touch internal training and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 10+ years of progressive public accounting experience, ideally originating from a large national or Big Four firm environment.
Credentials: An active, unblemished CPA license is strictly required for this leadership role.
Technical Mastery: Deep, provable expertise across Trusts, Estates, Corporate structures, and multi-state entities.
Presence: Ability to work full-time out of our main office to anchor our local team during the onboarding phase.
