Field Safety Coordinator
Job Description
Spear D Construction is seeking a proactive, dependable, and hands-on Field Safety Coordinator to support and strengthen our safety culture across all construction operations.
This is a field-focused position responsible for conducting regular jobsite visits, identifying hazards, supporting regulatory compliance, assisting with incident investigations, and working directly with field leadership and employees to promote safe work practices.
The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable spending time in active construction environments, communicates effectively with field crews, and isn't afraid to address unsafe conditions or behaviors when they see them.
Bilingual English/Spanish is required for this position. The ability to communicate safety expectations, training, and concerns clearly with both English- and Spanish-speaking employees is an important part of this role.
At Spear D Construction, safety isn't about simply checking boxes. We're looking for someone who can build relationships with our crews while maintaining high expectations for safety, accountability, and compliance.

- Assist with post-incident testing, reporting, and follow-up.
- Support entry and documentation of utility damage reports and other safety tracking information.

- Conduct and support employee safety training, orientations, and awareness programs.
- Communicate safety expectations clearly in both English and Spanish as needed.
- Help employees understand not only what safety procedures are required, but why they matter.
- Promote employee participation in Stretch & Flex, weekly safety topics, and other company safety initiatives.
- Coach employees on safe work behaviors and help field leadership reinforce company safety expectations.
- Support new-hire safety orientation and ongoing employee safety education.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and timely OSHA-compliant safety documentation and records.
- Ensure PTPs, inspection reports, incident documentation, and other required safety records are completed accurately.
