Full Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dental office team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental terminology, administrative tasks, and medical scheduling software. Candidate should have 2-3 years experience in the dental field, orthodontics background a huge plus. Would also be ideal if candidate would be open to learning/helping assist orthodontist on monday's (1 day a week). Will train if no ortho experience.

Front office Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Schedule patient appointments using Dentrix software
- Manage patient records and update health and insurance information as needed
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims

- Manage Recall and inactive patient system

- Follow up on unscheduled treatment plans

- Submit treatment plans for predetermination of benefits

- Prepare claim forms for patients with insurance, organizing supporting materials for claim forms, such as radiographs or written narratives.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and professionally
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk area
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in dental office software such as Dentrix
- Knowledge of medical scheduling procedures
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
- Strong administrative skills for managing patient records and appointments
- Experience working at the front desk of a dental or medical office
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
