Restoration Project Manager – Reconstruction
ANR | Elite Restoration
Experienced Restoration or Construction PM? Come Build With Us.
ANR | Elite Restoration is growing, and we're looking for a experienced Project Managers to lead restoration and reconstruction projects from initial scope through final completion.
This is not a desk-only project management position. You'll be involved from the beginning—visiting the property, developing the initial reconstruction scope, identifying what needs to be repaired or replaced, and then owning the project through production and final completion.
You'll coordinate customers, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, quality, and job progress while having the support of an established restoration team behind you.
We're looking for someone with strong construction knowledge who takes ownership, communicates well, solves problems before they become bigger problems, and takes pride in delivering a great finished product and customer experience.
Insurance restoration/reconstruction experience is strongly preferred. Experienced residential construction and remodeling Project Managers are also encouraged to apply.
What You'll Be Responsible For
You'll manage residential and commercial restoration and reconstruction projects following water, fire, storm, mold, and other property losses.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform initial reconstruction site visits and develop detailed scopes of work for necessary repairs.
- Identify affected building materials, repair requirements, quantities, trades, and construction methods needed to return the property to its pre-loss condition.
- Take accurate measurements, photos, notes, and other documentation necessary to develop the reconstruction scope.
- Identify potential scope gaps and additional work that may need to be addressed with the estimator, customer, or insurance carrier.
- Work with the estimating team to ensure the estimate accurately reflects the work required to complete the project.
- Review approved scopes and estimates before production to ensure the project can be successfully executed.
- Lead projects from initial reconstruction scope through final completion and closeout.
- Build and maintain project schedules.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, materials, and inspections.
- Visit jobsites regularly to verify progress, workmanship, cleanliness, and schedule.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for homeowners throughout reconstruction.
- Communicate proactively with customers so they understand what is happening and what comes next.
- Understand Insurance Carrier estimating guidelines.
- Review scopes of work and identify scope discrepancies, change orders, and potential supplements.
- Work with insurance adjusters and other parties involved in insurance restoration projects.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and gross profit.
- Maintain accurate job documentation, photos, notes, and project updates.
- Identify problems early and take ownership of getting them resolved.
- Conduct final walkthroughs and drive projects through completion.
- Manage multiple active projects without allowing communication, quality, or documentation to fall through the cracks.
The Person We're Looking For
We're less interested in someone who can simply "manage a schedule" and more interested in someone who can walk into a damaged property, understand what needs to be done, develop a plan, and take ownership of the project through completion.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Have 3+ years of Project Management experience in restoration, reconstruction, remodeling, or residential construction.
- Have strong working knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
- Can inspect a property and develop a detailed reconstruction scope of work.
- Are comfortable taking measurements, documenting conditions, and determining the trades and work required to complete repairs.
- Have experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Know how to effectively manage subcontractors and hold people accountable.
- Are comfortable communicating with homeowners during stressful situations.
- Understand project budgets and the importance of job profitability.
- Are highly organized and stay ahead of deadlines.
- Communicate proactively instead of waiting for someone to ask for an update.
- Can make decisions and solve problems in the field.
- Take pride in quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Are comfortable being held accountable for your projects and results.
Insurance restoration experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with Xactimate, Encircle, Xcelerate, or other restoration/project management software is a plus.
A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and background check are required.
