Role Description

The Director of Facilities is a full-time, on-site role working out of our Corporate Headquarters in Louisville, with regular travel across our five-state footprint. This is a new leadership position created to centralize facilities operations that today are managed site by site. The Director is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant physical operation of every property in the portfolio: our adult day health centers in Kentucky and Pennsylvania and our leased administrative offices across Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.

The role owns four operational domains.

First, facility maintenance and safety, including preventive maintenance programs, monthly site walkthrough standards, repairs, renovations, and audit readiness at every location.
Second, transportation and fleet operations across our adult day health centers, including vehicle maintenance, routing, driver safety, and regulatory compliance.
Third, kitchen and food service operations at every center, meeting nutrition standards, food safety requirements, and the cultural expectations of the communities we serve.
Fourth, lease administration for our administrative property portfolio, including landlord relationships, renewals, and portfolio planning as the organization grows.

Day-to-day responsibilities include direct supervision of all site-based facilities personnel, including drivers, kitchen staff, and maintenance technicians, along with vendor and contractor management, preventive maintenance scheduling, and facility-related capital projects. The Director will develop and manage facilities budgets, track expenses, and optimize resource use while maintaining high-quality environments for clients and team members. Collaboration with clinical and operations leadership is essential to support service delivery, respond to facility needs, and implement consistent standards across the portfolio.

Qualifications

Multi-state facilities management experience required, with direct experience in at least one of the following settings: adult day healthcare, skilled nursing, assisted living, or independent living.
Strong facilities operations and Facility Management (FM) skills, including oversight of multi-site health or human services environments.
Demonstrated supervisory skills, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of distributed site-based facilities staff such as maintenance technicians, drivers, and kitchen personnel.
Working knowledge of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance programs, and applicable DOT requirements.
Experience with food service operations and health department compliance in a congregate or healthcare setting.
Commercial lease administration experience, including renewals, landlord relations, and multi-site portfolio management.
Proficiency in budgeting and cost control, with experience planning and managing facilities and capital expenditures.
Expertise in preventive maintenance, asset management, and scheduling of inspections and servicing for building systems and equipment.
Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, ADA requirements, and compliance standards relevant to healthcare or community-based settings.
Ability to coordinate and manage external contractors and vendors, including negotiation and performance oversight.
Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and respond quickly to facility issues.
Experience in senior services, healthcare, or Medicaid-focused organizations preferred; bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business, Engineering, or related field is beneficial.
