Job Overview
Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive assistance to clients in their homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your dedication will help promote independence and enhance quality of life for those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those managing chronic conditions such as dementia or autism. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to deliver empathetic, professional care while fostering trusting relationships within the community.

Duties

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or behavior, documenting findings accurately in care plans
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when needed
Administer medications following prescribed schedules and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
Support clients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia by implementing memory care strategies and providing engaging activities
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
Follow established care plans meticulously while collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to observe and report on patient conditions accurately and promptly
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times
Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, CPR/First Aid certification preferred
Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer’s/dementia care, autism support, neurodevelopmental disorders, intellectual disabilities, or hospice care is a plus
Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when required
Strong communication skills and compassionate attitude toward supporting individuals with diverse needs
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are often preferred for community-based visits
