Full Job Description

Hamblett & Kerrigan, PA is a law firm in Nashua, New Hampshire seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Receptionist/Office Assistant to join our collegial and relaxed office environment.

This position plays an important role in the day-to-day operation of the firm and serves as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and callers.

Responsibilities:

Greeting clients and visitors at reception
Answering and directing telephone calls
Handling incoming and outgoing mail, FedEx and faxes, occasional post office trips
Open the lobby and breakroom in the morning; closing duties at end of day
Perform basic clerical support such as scanning and copying documents
Managing conference room calendars
Ordering and maintaining office supplies
Assisting with general office administration and organization
Supporting the smooth operation of the firm’s daily activities

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a law office.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Professional demeanor and appearance.
A positive, client-focused attitude and a strong work ethic.

In addition, there may be opportunities to work directly with attorneys and paralegals on legal matters and client files, making this an excellent position for someone interested in learning more about the legal profession and developing new skills.
