Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Parts Counter Sales Associate, where you will be the vital link between customers and the automotive parts they need to keep their vehicles running smoothly. This energetic role offers the opportunity to leverage your mechanical knowledge, sales expertise, and customer service skills to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. You will assist customers in identifying the right parts and accessories, manage inventory, and build lasting relationships that drive repeat business. Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance to customers on automotive parts, accessories, and vehicle systems to ensure they find the right solutions for their needs
Assist customers with product selection, upselling relevant items, and negotiating deals to maximize sales opportunities
Maintain accurate inventory control by stocking shelves, managing stock levels, and conducting regular inventory audits using inventory management systems and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools
Process sales transactions efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash and credit payments securely
Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, phone etiquette, and personalized service to foster loyalty and repeat business
Collaborate with the service team to support automotive diagnostics, mechanical troubleshooting, and vehicle maintenance needs
Keep the work area organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards while managing stock levels and product displays

Experience

Proven experience in retail sales or automotive parts sales within a dealership or auto parts store environment
Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, automotive repair processes, and parts management practices
Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance procedures, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and organizational tasks; experience with CMMS preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage inventory effectively using inventory control systems; experience with POS systems is a plus
Excellent communication skills in multiple languages are highly desirable; bilingual abilities are an advantage
Prior experience in dealership settings or automotive service centers will be considered an asset
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, inventory management, and customer service activities
