Position Summary:
The Lowndes County DUI Court is seeking a dedicated, organized, and compassionate Contract Case Manager to provide comprehensive case management services for participants enrolled in the DUI Court Program. This position is an independent contractor role operating under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Lowndes County DUI Court.
The Case Manager serves as an essential member of the multidisciplinary DUI Court team by monitoring participant compliance, coordinating services, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and supporting participant success while ensuring accountability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Contract Case Manager will:
- Coordinate and monitor participant case management services.
- Conduct participant orientation and ongoing case management meetings.
- Monitor participant compliance with court orders, treatment recommendations, and program requirements.
- Maintain accurate and confidential participant files and documentation.
- Prepare reports and updates for the DUI Court Judge and multidisciplinary team.
- Attend all DUI Court staffing meetings and court sessions.
- Coordinate communication with probation officers, treatment providers, law enforcement, and community partners.
- Assist with referrals for treatment, employment, education, housing, transportation, and other supportive services.
- Maintain compliance with Georgia Accountability Court Standards and all applicable policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties necessary to support the effective operation of the DUI Court Program.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Psychology, or a closely related field (preferred).
- Experience working with accountability courts, probation, case management, behavioral health, or related human service programs (preferred).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and case management software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
Schedule:
The Case Manager will maintain a flexible work schedule based on the operational needs of the Lowndes County DUI Court, including attendance at court sessions, staffing meetings, participant meetings, and other required activities.
Background Check Requirement:
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a comprehensive criminal background check.
The selected contractor is solely responsible for obtaining and paying all costs associated with the required background investigation prior to beginning work.
Failure to successfully complete the background check will result in withdrawal of the contract offer.
Compensation:
Compensation will be established through the executed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and is subject to available grant funding and program budget.
Independent Contractor Status:
This position is an Independent Contractor (1099) position and is not considered employment with Lowndes County or the Lowndes County DUI Court. The contractor is responsible for all applicable taxes, insurance, and business expenses associated with providing services under the MOU.
