Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Claims Resolution Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for an analytical problem-solver with a background in claims processing, customer service, and issue resolution. The successful candidate will handle and resolve complex claims efficiently, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate claims processing.

Essential Functions Include:

Claims Management: Review and analyze denied, underpaid, and outstanding claims to identify the cause of the issue and necessary action steps.
Resolution and Appeals: Contact insurance companies, providers, or patients as needed to appeal denied claims and resolve discrepancies. Prepare and submit required documentation or corrected claims for reconsideration.
Billing and Coding Verification: Ensure proper coding on claims by verifying against CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding standards, and adjust claims as needed.
Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document actions taken on each claim, maintain detailed records in the claims system, and prepare periodic reports on claim status, recovery rates, and trends in denials.
Compliance and Policy Adherence: Stay up to date with payer-specific policies, state and federal healthcare regulations, and HIPAA requirements.
Customer Service: Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurers, and patients regarding claim status, payment issues, and billing inquiries. Provide compassionate and clear assistance to patients regarding their account status.
Problem-Solving: Identify root causes of claim issues and suggest process improvements to prevent future denials or underpayments.
