Lubbock, Texas Nurse Practitioner – Integrative Primary Care Travel Opportunity
Functional Medicine • Preventive Care • Metabolic Health • Long-Term Coverage

This is not a traditional high-throughput primary care assignment. The practice model is built around whole-person care, prevention, deeper patient relationships, advanced diagnostics, and individualized treatment strategies designed to address more than the patient's immediate complaint.
The current assignment begins ASAP and is scheduled through February 28, 2027, with the potential to extend, offering an NP the opportunity to become meaningfully integrated into the practice and its patient population.

A Different Approach to Primary Care
This practice combines traditional medical care with a broader, proactive approach to health and wellness.
Rather than focusing exclusively on episodic symptoms, providers work to understand the patient's health history, lifestyle, laboratory findings, risk factors, and long-term goals to develop individualized treatment plans.
The broader practice model incorporates services that may include:
- Primary and preventive care
- Functional and integrative medicine
- Chronic disease management
- Comprehensive laboratory evaluation
- Metabolic health
- Medical weight management
- Hormone optimization
- Lifestyle and nutritional counseling
- IV and wellness therapies
Specific responsibilities will depend on clinical competency, credentialing, and established practice protocols.

- Evaluate and manage outpatient primary care patients
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments
- Develop individualized treatment and wellness plans
- Review laboratory and diagnostic findings with patients
- Manage appropriate acute and chronic medical conditions
- Emphasize preventive medicine and long-term risk reduction

Who This Opportunity Is Built For
This role is particularly compelling for an NP who enjoys primary care but wants the opportunity to practice beyond a purely transactional visit model.
Candidates with backgrounds in Family Medicine, Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Women's Health, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Functional Medicine, Integrative Medicine, or metabolic health may bring highly transferable clinical experience.
Previous functional or integrative medicine experience can be valuable, but equally important is an interest in preventive, personalized, whole-person care and the ability to build meaningful patient relationships.

- Nurse Practitioner
- Appropriate Texas APRN licensure
- Appropriate prescriptive authority and credentialing
- Strong outpatient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Comfortable managing primary care and preventive health needs
- Strong patient education and communication skills
- Interest in functional, integrative, or preventive medicine

Why NPs Choose This Opportunity
For an NP who wants something different from traditional high-throughput medicine, this assignment provides an opportunity to practice within a model centered on prevention, personalization, and the whole patient.
The extended coverage period also creates something uncommon in travel practice: enough time to establish continuity, follow treatment plans, and see patient progress rather than simply providing short-term coverage.
