Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dental practitioners. You will assist with patient procedures, manage clinical workflows, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and patient safety are maintained. Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use following infection prevention management protocols.
Assist dentists during various procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and professionalism.
Take and develop dental X-ray images while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
Manage patient records using electronic medical documentation systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring accuracy in medical coding and documentation of vital signs and medical history.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment plans to promote optimal health outcomes.
Perform dental instrument processing including sterilization procedures using aseptic technique to prevent cross-contamination.
Support the front desk as a dental receptionist when needed by managing patient management software, scheduling appointments, and handling administrative tasks efficiently.

Experience

Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment with exposure to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or oral surgery is highly preferred.
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic is essential for managing medical records effectively.
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy enhances your ability to assist confidently during procedures.
Hands-on experience with dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental sterilization tools, and medical imaging devices is advantageous.
Demonstrated understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices ensures compliance with clinical confidentiality policies and infection control standards.
Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety is required.
Strong communication skills combined with a team-oriented attitude will help foster a positive environment focused on excellent patient care.
