Full Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Our purpose at LBI is to create raving fans. We are looking for someone who wants to play a pivotal role in bringing new clients (raving fans) into the Agency by prospecting, networking and other lead-generating means. This position is responsible for prospecting, quoting, presenting and selling Personal Lines insurance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Cultivate new prospects from Agency lead generation programs, COI’s, natural market, and referrals.
Document activity in Agency Management System as required by management for appropriate tracking of activity and production.
Maintain knowledge of underwriting, coverages, and rating procedures for all types of Personal Lines policies offered by all carriers with which the Agency is appointed.
Participate in sales and other industry training in order to maintain knowledge and develop skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must be a proactive self-starter, imaginative and creative with good verbal and written communication skills.
Multi-tasking abilities with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Must show demonstrated success with building a book of personal lines insurance business.
Must have or be willing to develop a strong Center of Influence network.
Thorough understanding of personal lines underwriting and coverage.
Ability to work within a team environment is critical to the success of this position.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Two years personal insurance sales experience required.
College degree preferred.
Must have current licenses (Property/Casualty) as required by the State Department of Insurance.
Familiarity with Applied Systems suite of products is preferred.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
