Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compounding Pharmacist to join our 503A compounding pharmacy. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in working with the sterile team and checking/dispensing compounding medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the USP chapters. The pharmacist will work closely with other pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care, particularly in areas such as sterile and nonsterile compounding. No Nights or Sunday shifts.

Responsibilities

Working with the sterile team in the cleanroom.
Dispense compounded sterile, non-sterile and retail medications according to established formulas and protocols.
Ensure all compounded medications meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with pharmacists to verify medication orders and assess patient needs.
Maintain accurate records of compounding activities, including batch records and inventory management.
Adhere to USP 800 guidelines while handling hazardous materials and medications.
Assist in the training of pharmacy technicians and other staff members as needed.
Stay updated on best practices in clinical and compounding pharmacy protocols.

Experience

Sterile Compounding USP 797 (non-sterile to sterile) experience is a must
Well versed in USP 795 & USP 800 is required
Knowledge of physiology as it relates to medication compounding is beneficial.
Licensed pharmacist in Florida.
Multiple state licenses is preferred
