Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Attorney to join our Boston office. The ideal candidate may work remotely from time to time but will need to come into the office to support closings and the business needs of the firm. The ideal candidate is highly organized, capable of working independently, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. This candidate will regularly support Partners or Senior Associates with coverage needs due to vacations, parental leaves, and overall busier times of the year.

Key Responsibilities

Organize and manage residential real estate files from contract execution through closing, including tracking deadlines, contingencies, and required documentation
Coordinate with sellers, buyers, brokers, lenders, and other parties to arrange signatures, order documents, and prepare files for closing
Draft and review Purchase & Sale Agreements and other residential real estate transaction documents
Prepare closing files and support closings as needed
Communicate directly with clients and third parties in a professional, timely, and clear manner
Maintain accurate file records and ensure all transactions comply with firm standards and applicable requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to the Massachusetts Bar required
Strong ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage matters with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with a proactive and professional approach to client service
Prior experience in residential real estate transactions preferred, but not required

Work Schedule & Location

Boston Office
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
