Full Job Description

Position: Front of House Supervisor
Reports To: General Manager / Ownership

Position Overview

The Front of House Supervisor is a hands-on leadership position responsible for helping oversee the day-to-day operation of Bambolina and Kokeshi during scheduled shifts. The Supervisor works alongside the service team while helping maintain strong guest service, staff accountability, organization, and consistency.

This position is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional who is dependable, organized, comfortable taking the lead, and able to problem-solve during busy service.

ResponsibilitiesShift Leadership

Help lead and organize the front-of-house team throughout service.
Make sure staff are in position, prepared, and completing assigned responsibilities.
Communicate clearly with the kitchen, bar, hosts, servers, support staff, and management.
Help keep service moving efficiently during busy periods.
Address problems as they arise and involve management when necessary.
Help maintain a professional, positive, and team-oriented work environment.

Guest Experience

Maintain a high standard of hospitality and guest service.
Check in with guests and assist with questions, concerns, or service issues.
Resolve routine guest complaints professionally and know when an issue should be escalated to management.
Maintain awareness of the dining room and overall flow of service.

Opening & Closing

Complete and verify opening and closing checklists.
Make sure the restaurant is clean, stocked, organized, and ready for service.
Ensure side work and closing responsibilities are completed before employees leave.
Assist with end-of-night POS and checkout procedures.
Verify cash handling and required shift paperwork according to company procedures.
Secure the restaurant at closing when assigned.

Staff Support & Accountability

Help train and support new employees.
Reinforce restaurant policies, service standards, and operating procedures.
Address minor performance or service issues during the shift and communicate recurring concerns to management.
Monitor attendance, punctuality, uniforms, side work, and overall staff readiness.
Communicate call-outs, staffing problems, incidents, or other significant shift issues to management.

Restaurant Operations

Maintain knowledge of food, beverage, allergy, and menu information.
Monitor cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
Assist with inventory, stocking, and receiving as needed.
Ensure health, safety, and sanitation procedures are followed.
Complete shift notes and communicate important information to management and the next shift.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant or hospitality experience required.
Prior supervisory, lead server, bartender, or shift-lead experience preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Reliable and comfortable taking responsibility for a shift.
Ability to remain calm and make good decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of hospitality and guest service.
Comfortable giving direction and holding coworkers accountable respectfully.
Open availability required.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform normal physical duties associated with restaurant service.

The Supervisor should be approachable and supportive of the team while also being comfortable enforcing expectations and maintaining Bambolina's standards.
