Full Job Description

The Manufacturing Lead serves as a hands-on technical leader responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations, training team members, and promoting adherence to quality and production standards. This role acts as a key resource for Manufacturing Associates by providing guidance, troubleshooting support, and operational expertise while helping ensure safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled manufacturing professional who leads by example, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and fosters a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

· Support daily manufacturing activities to help achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.

· Provide day-to-day guidance and support to Manufacturing Associates within assigned production areas.

· Train and onboard new employees on manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality requirements.

· Promote adherence to standard operating procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing best practices.

· Monitor product quality and identify potential issues before they impact production.

· Assist with troubleshooting equipment, process, material, and workflow issues.

· Escalate production, quality, safety, and staffing concerns to the Manufacturing Coordinator as appropriate.

· Support line balancing and workflow organization to maximize efficiency and throughput.

· Assist with production changeovers, process setup, and area readiness activities.

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.

· Ensure manufacturing activities comply with applicable quality system requirements, including ISO 13485 procedures, manufacturing documentation, and cleanroom protocols.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

· Serve as a role model for ASC's core values through professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

· Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience; regulated manufacturing experience preferred.

· Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and support manufacturing team members.

· Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and quality requirements.

· Experience working in an ISO 13485, GMP, or other regulated manufacturing environment preferred.

· Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and escalate concerns appropriately.

· Experience with manufacturing documentation and production reporting preferred.

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

Language Requirements

· Ability to read, understand, interpret, and communicate English-language work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), manufacturing records, quality documentation, labels, and training materials.

· Ability to communicate effectively in English with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional partners.

· Ability to accurately complete and review manufacturing and quality documentation in English.

· Ability to provide training and instruction using English-language procedures and documentation.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.

· Ability to perform repetitive hand and finger movements required for manufacturing activities.

· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.

· Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and perform other physical activities required in a manufacturing environment.

· Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and comply with gowning requirements, including the use of hairnets, beard covers, gloves, smocks, and other required personal protective equipment (PPE).

· Ability to visually inspect products, materials, and documentation with a high degree of accuracy.

· Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and materials while adhering to all company safety procedures and policies.

Compensation & Benefits

American Surgical Company offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including eligibility to participate in the Company's Profit Sharing Program in accordance with plan provisions and eligibility requirements.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday (3:45 PM-2:15AM)

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
