Full Job Description

Jacam Catalyst, a company that designs, manufactures, and distributes a complete line of specialized chemicals for the oil and gas industry, has an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in its AR Department in Sterling, KS.

** Please note, this is an in-office position, and remote work is not currently an option. We believe that on-site collaboration enhances productivity and fosters team cohesion, which is essential for this role.**

Specific responsibilities include invoicing with specialty pricing, maintaining customer information, processing daily/weekly/monthly reports, collections, and a variety of receivable duties.

Strong organization and computer skills are required
Proficiency in Excel required
Previous AR experience preferred
Ability in a database tool (SQL or Access) is helpful but not required
Experience in accounting ERP software (ideally Microsoft Dynamics AX) is also beneficial but not required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws.
Can fluently read, write, and speak in English.
Adhere to guidelines, policies, and procedures described in the Jacam Catalyst handbook.
Adhere to Jacam Catalyst Catalyst’s Drug and Alcohol policy and agree to submit to random drug testing as a condition of employment.
Express ideas and thoughts verbally and in written form. Exhibit excellent listening skills.
Provide excellent customer service skills to customers and field office personnel.
Be able to work well independently and in a team atmosphere.
Be precise, detail-oriented, and organized while processing multiple activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and one or two years’ experience.
Initially type at 35 wpm with an error of 1/100 keystrokes. The goal is to be 80 wpm and 1/500 errors per keystroke.
Be highly organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task.
Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace.
Show an ability to build communal relationships with customers and co-workers.
Show an ability to exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Computer Skills: Strong background in MS Office applications required. Experience with Microsoft Dynamic AX desired.
Customer Service Skills: Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
Other Requirements: Prior accounting experience preferred.
