Full Job Description

Part-Time Personal Chef Kitchen Assistant (20+ Hours/Week)

Stovetop Solutions Personal Chef Services is looking for a dependable, part-time Kitchen Assistant to assist with in-home meal preparation throughout the Atlanta metro area. This position averages 20+ hours per week and offers a consistent weekday schedule with weekends off.

What You'll Do

Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and preparing recipes
Cook selected dishes under my guidance and gradually take on more cooking responsibilities as you're trained
Wash dishes throughout the cook day and help keep the kitchen clean and organized
Sweep and clean the kitchen before leaving each client home
Load and unload groceries and kitchen equipment
Occasionally drive to grocery stores and/or client homes when needed. Driving is not required on every cook day, but flexibility to assist with grocery runs or driving is expected.

Schedule

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Additional hours may be available.

Weekends off.

Pay

$12.00-$13.00 per hour

Requirements

Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Enjoy cooking and be eager to learn new recipes and techniques
Comfortable following written recipes with attention to detail
Willing to help with all aspects of the cook day, including food preparation, dishwashing, sweeping, and kitchen cleanup
Able to work efficiently in clients' home kitchens
Able to lift up to 35 pounds
Valid driver's license with a reliable, insured vehicle and willingness to drive when needed
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Final candidates will be subject to a standard background check

A Different Kind of Kitchen Job

This isn't a restaurant kitchen. We work in clients' homes preparing customized meals for the week in a calm, organized, and collaborative environment.

This is a hands-on support role. While you'll have the opportunity to cook and learn new recipes, a significant part of the job includes washing dishes, cleaning as you go, sweeping, and helping keep the kitchen organized throughout the day. Every task is important to delivering an exceptional experience for our clients.

If you enjoy cooking but don't enjoy the stress of restaurant work, this may be a great fit.

Training is provided, and no culinary degree is required.
