Licensed Veterinary Technician

Founding Team Member — New Hospital Opening

POSITION SUMMARY

PetVet365 Penfield is more than a new veterinary hospital, we are building a place where pets, families, and team members feel seen, supported, and valued. We are looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician who is excited to help create an exceptional client and team experience from day one.

This is a unique opportunity to join as a founding team member and help shape the culture, processes, and community presence of our hospital. Alongside providing outstanding Fear Free medicine, you'll play an important role in building relationships, supporting hospital growth, and creating a workplace where both people and pets thrive.

We're looking for someone who embraces change, enjoys collaboration, and believes that exceptional veterinary medicine starts with caring for people just as much as we care for pets.

CORE CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Live and exemplify the PetVet365 Penfield Purpose, Mission, and Vision in every interaction with clients, pets, and fellow team members.
Provide compassionate, Fear Free-aligned handling and restraint techniques that help reduce stress and strengthen the human-animal bond.
Welcome patients into the hospital and guide families through admissions and discharges with empathy, education, and confidence.
Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, and administer medications, fluids, and vaccines as directed by veterinarians.
Collect diagnostic samples and perform diagnostics with pet parents present, helping create transparency and trust throughout the visit.
Prepare patients for anesthesia and assist in medical, surgical, and dental procedures while monitoring anesthesia and recovery.
Respond calmly and confidently during emergency situations, including CPR and stabilization efforts.
Run and interpret in-house diagnostics including bloodwork, urinalysis, and fecal testing.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records that support exceptional patient care and communication.
Educate and empower pet parents on home care, medications, nutrition, preventive medicine, and lifelong wellness.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked hospital environment that promotes efficiency and excellent patient care.
Build positive, collaborative relationships with teammates and contribute to a culture of trust, kindness, and accountability.
Support hospital growth initiatives and embrace new ideas, technologies, and processes that improve the experience for our patients and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

Veterinary Technician license/certification (CVT/RVT/LVT) required.
Comfortable with - or eager to learn - Fear Free handling techniques.
Strong communication skills; comfortable talking with clients in person, on the phone, and in the community.
Flexible, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity and change.
Genuine interest in community engagement and helping a new business grow.
Team-first attitude with willingness to pitch in outside a narrow job description.
Ability to lift 40+ pounds and stand 8+ hours a day.
