Full Job Description

Our team members are the innovative and creative professionals who drive the Fortress Bank culture of accessible, responsive, and innovative service to our customers and communities.

This Branch Manager role is responsible for driving business development, expanding deposit relationships, cultivating new and existing customer relationships, and representing the bank throughout the community. In addition to these growth-focused responsibilities, the Branch Manager oversees daily branch operations, ensures compliance with bank policies and regulations, and leads the development of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage and monitor branch performance and achievement of deposit growth, referral, and customer service goals:

o Open qualifying new consumer accounts.

o Recognize and execute cross-selling opportunities to deepen customer relationships; train and coach team members to do the same.

o Prioritize business development activities to support deposit growth, relationship expansion, and community engagement.

o Participate in community, networking, and business development initiatives.

o Manage maturing CDs, expiring debit cards, inactive bill pay relationships, and deposit promotions.

o Monitor daily branch operations.

· Develop and coach the team by:

o Promoting a culture of compliance and risk management, ensuring adherence to bank policies, procedures, BSA/AML requirements, and applicable regulations.

o Effectively selecting, training, and developing team members in partnership with HR.

o Scheduling team members to maximize efficient operations and exceptional customer service. Participate in Saturday coverage rotation.

· Develop and be prepared to share expertise and support customers in digital (online and mobile) banking services.

· Collaborate with other branches and departments to meet & exceed customers’ needs.

Requirements:

· At least 3 years of banking experience.

· Zest for positive interpersonal interactions.

· Confidence and comfort with active, ethical cross-selling.

· Strong interpersonal, analytical, & problem-solving skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to function well in a fast-paced, changing environment and manage time efficiently. Willingness to travel to other branches for coverage.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field; demonstrated success in customer relationship management, business development, and employee coaching; bilingual (English / Spanish).

Compensation:

· Starting range: $47,000 - $62,000 annualized, commensurate with experience and education.

· Up to $3,000 sign-on bonus contingent on active employment and satisfactory performance: half payable after 90 days and half after 1 year in this role.
