Wesley Village is seeking a faith-centered, mission-driven executive leader to serve as Chief Executive Officer / Licensed Nursing Home Administrator CEO/LNHA for its not-for-profit single-site Life Plan Community in Macomb, Illinois. The position also includes complete oversight of Wesley Estates, Inc a for-profit corporation that is a subsidiary of Wesley Village.
The CEO/LNHA provides overall strategic, operational, financial, and administrative leadership for Wesley Village and Wesley Estates, ensuring the organization fulfills its Christian mission while delivering high-quality services across the full continuum of care. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, this role is responsible for campus-wide oversight, leadership development, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and donor and community engagement.
This position leads a department head team, oversees approximately 135 employees, and supports roughly 200 residents across independent living homes, independent living apartments, assisted living, skilled nursing, long term care, and home-based services. The CEO/LNHA will guide the organization through a planned leadership transition and the stabilization of a new Assisted Living project.

Wesley Village is a not-for-profit, single-site Life Plan Community serving older adults in Macomb, Illinois and the surrounding region. Wesley Village opened the door to seniors on February 4, 1980 and for 46 years the organization has been rooted in Christian values.
Wesley Village provides a full continuum of housing and services designed to promote independence, dignity, and well-being within a secure and compassionate community. Wesley Estates, Inc was formed in 2005 to build independent living homes for area seniors.
The organization is recognized for strong leadership stability, deep community trust, and an active culture of philanthropy that supports both daily operations and long-term sustainability.
Consistent with Wesley Village’s mission and vision, the CEO/LNHA is expected to lead with integrity, humility, and a commitment to servant leadership. The leadership expectations would also apply to the operation of Wesley Estates.
- Provide executive leadership and operational authority over all Wesley Village programs and services.
- Lead, mentor, and support a department head leadership team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, service excellence, and ethical leadership.
- Ensure leadership continuity through effective succession planning and staff development.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS and Illinois Department of Public Health requirements.
- Serve as the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator on record.
- Oversee quality assurance, risk management, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys, audits and inspections.
- Oversee development and execution of the annual operating and capital budgets.
- Monitor financial performance, census trends, and service line sustainability.
- Lead long-range strategic planning in partnership with the Board of Directors. Including research and presentation of future programs to be considered to enhance the Life Plan Community service package and financial impact.
- Prepare and present regular reports to the Board of Directors.
- Serve as the primary executive lead for donor relationships and major gift cultivation working closely with the Director of Development.
- Engage with donors, foundations, and community partners.
- Represent Wesley Village within the community and region.
- Guide the organization through the implementation and development of the Assisted Living Suites.
- Ensure operational, staffing, and regulatory readiness for new services.
- Oversee campus planning and facility improvements as approved by the Board.

- Resilient and adaptable, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment
- Illinois Nursing Home Administrator License, or eligibility to obtain within one year of hire date. Currently licensed candidates would need to provide verification of licensure; which includes completion of exam at both federal and state of Illinois level.
- Completion of a fingerprint background check with no disqualifying findings.

- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or
a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of five (5) years of senior leadership experience in senior living, long-term care, or a Life Plan Community environment.
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related
discipline.
- Experience in nonprofit leadership and donor relations.
- Demonstrated success in financial management, regulatory compliance, and organizational leadership.
- Supervisory, management, and human resource experience.

Salary range is $90,000- $140,000. Wesley Village offers a competitive executive compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional details will be shared during the interview process.
